When everyday support became urgent

COVID-19 restrictions interrupted classroom activities and affected family income. SFTH’s home-based needs assessments identified food insecurity and difficulty accessing hygiene supplies among families connected to the classroom.

A practical response

The strategic report records a relief distribution on 30 April 2020 supporting 15 families and seven volunteer staff members. Food, handwashing buckets, disinfectant and locally produced masks were among the materials distributed.

Staying in touch

The response also maintained communication with caregivers during a period of isolation. This story reflects the documented 2020 response, rather than an ongoing emergency appeal.
